what is sea freight?

The movement of people, goods, etc. by means of ships, boats and other vessels through the sea, oceans, lakes, canals and rivers is called maritime transport.
Intentionally, the goods that are moved by sea have a large weight and volume.
Since access to open waters is not possible in all countries, for some geographical cases, it is impossible for goods and passengers to enter by sea.
However, sea transportation is one of the most important transportations, and a high percentage of various goods are exported to other countries through this method, and a high percentage of world trade is done through this method.
When we talk about sea transportation, cargo ships that are equipped to carry different goods with special features come to mind.
Many port equipment and facilities and many special equipments have been developed in these years, which makes loading and unloading to be done with confidence and speed.

Advantages of sea freight:
1. Sea transportation is cheaper than other methods and this makes commercial companies prefer to export and import their goods through the sea and open waters.
2. Another great advantage is the transportation of goods with a large volume.
3. The next advantage is its relative stability in the relevant fares.
Disadvantages of sea shipping:
The most important issue that can be mentioned is the time, when the cargo must be delivered to the destination immediately, the issue of time becomes problematic. It can be said that the biggest and most important problem is the slowness of the sea route.
But its cheap and safe way makes more than 90% of international transportation to be done in this way.
